For we are labourers together with God:

ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building (1 Cor 3:9).

OCEAN VIEW BIBLE CAMP - JAMAICA

Oceanview Bible Camp (OVBC) is located in Southfield in the parish of St. Elizabeth which is on the south coast around the mid-west of the island.  The bible camp, which was started in the summer of 1965, is sited on 13 ½ acres of farm land on a plateau overlooking the Caribbean sea. The climate in this part of Jamaica is moderate with not much rain.

The main building houses the girls’ dormitories, with capacity of 104.  This building also houses the kitchen/dining room, a covered recreation area, tuck shop and book room. Adjacent to the main building are two dormitories for the boys with a capacity of 48. There are other nearby buildings housing about 20 staff rooms, a nurse’s cottage with three rooms and a sick bay. The facility also includes a manager’s residence and a swimming pool.

The camp is utilized by us several times during the year for summer camps, weekend youth camps, our national conference, retreats etc. It is also rented to fundamental Christian groups when available.

OVBC is managed by Milton Rowe who may be contacted at:

EASTERN CARIBBEAN BIBLE CAMP - BARBADOS

Eastern Caribbean Bible Camp was started in 1968. In those early years several schools had to be rented for this purpose.

The plantation house located in Ruby, St. Philip  was acquired in 1975  to be the permanent camp site under the direction of our late brother Lionel T. Mayhew who, along with brother Clyde Hunte, pioneered the young people's work in Barbados.

The many rooms of the upper floor serve quite adequately as female dormitories and two bathrooms.  The lower level also houses three female dormitories along with toilet and shower facilities. On the same level is the dining area which seats approximately one hundred.  It also houses the wash-up and serving area and the kitchen.

Across the way is the building which houses the male dormitories downstairs and the chapel upstairs.

SILOAM BIBLE CAMP - GUYANA

The Siloam Bible Camp has been recently refurbished. It is nestled in the forested area close to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

Guyana is often referred to as the “land of many waters,” because of its numerous rivers and their countless tributaries as well as the many picturesque lakes.  It lies on the north- eastern shoulder of South America.  As the only English speaking country on this continent, it shares borders with Venezuela to the west, Brazil to the south and south-west and Suriname to the East.  To the north it is washed by the Atlantic Ocean.

Covering an area of 215,000 km2 it comprises of thousands of hectares of pristine rainforest, rolling grasslands and countless species of birds, fish, other animals and plants.  With towering mountains and majestic awe-inspiring waterfalls, Guyana lays claim to the third longest river in the world, the mighty Essequibo, which boasts an island for every day of the year (365).

The climate in Guyana is warm but pleasant for most of the year, relieved by the sea breezes on the coast.  Lightweight clothes can be worn all year round.

With a multi-ethnic population and a culture that bespeaks the input of each group, this magnificent country would provide an unforgettable experience to all who would venture within its boundaries.

GRACE & TRUTH BIBLE CAMP -  ST VINCENT

The Grace and Truth Bible Camp in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is almost thirty years old.  The camp site is situated in Layou, one of the six towns of SVG, and  lies on the leeward side, towards the north-central section of the island.  It is approximately eleven miles from the capital Kingstown – a twenty-five minutes drive from the capital and about thirty-five minutes from the airport.

The brainchild of Dr. Winston E. Daisley, the bible camp facility consists of a main building which comprises a main hall, kitchen and dining area.  There is an adjoining two-story wing which houses male and female dormitories along with the bathrooms.  It can accommodate approximately one hundred and twenty persons.

The first floor of the dormitory unit accommodates the female dorms and includes a room specially designed for couples.  The ground floor houses the male dorms along with a multi-purpose room.

There are two other buildings: a missionary house and the manager’s house. The camp site manager is brother Khrishell Baxter.

On January 1st and August 1st of each year, fellowship meetings are held at the camp site.

Other assembly-related activities include:  a Sunday school teachers’ and youth workers’ meeting/workshop in January, bible camps during the Easter weekend, junior bible camp in July and senior bible camp in early August. There is also an activity camp held during the carnival weekend in early July.  A sisters’ retreat is held over the Whitsuntide weekend and a men’s retreat in mid September.  There is usually a camp reunion in November and from time to time there are other functions organized by the brethren.

Besides being used for activities organized by our assemblies of brethren, the camp site is rented to other Christian groups and organizations.
